Steward Report

Old business:

1.  Fire Marshall hall capacity update- Tim has latest info

2.  Toilet paper spindle replaced in back restroom.

Current business

1.  One mouse captured in basement

2.  New datasheet for building humidity monitoring project is completed.  Data collection has begun and will continue for a calendar year.

3.  Steward Task list is being drafted, Jon Hyland has been showing us how to do more involved maint tasks at the last two volunteer days.

4.  Bruce removed selected boards between front and back sections of basement to improve airflow so that humidifier can work more effectively.  We are also getting new fan automatic timers so there is more regular air movement.

5.  Attic fan is NOT currently operational.  Jon H. knows.  As an aside, he says if we put finer filters in it, it would filter out smoke particles inside building if there was ever a community need.

6.  Furnace thermostat in main hall wasn't working when workday began.  Jon H removed corrosion from battery compartment and it is working now.

7.  Jon showed us how he changes the water filter for the building.  It was the first filter change for the new system and the filter was DIRTY.  Lots of rusty brown residue captured so it did its job well.

Proposed projects:

1.  Upstairs ladder purchase? 6 foot ladder in chair room isn't tall enough to reach ceiling, ladders in basement are problematic upstairs (dirty and hard to wrangle through doors).  We are proposing the purchase of a taller inside ladder. We could move one of the chair room ladders backstage to make room.

2.  Shop vac replacement?  The shop vac in the basement still works, but it is so old that factories no longer make filters for it.  We would like to get a new one to control mouse related messes in basement.

3.  Jon proposes that we install a window screen in front restroom so that we can leave one of the windows cracked to provide ventilation.
